This pyramid a park is a great place to wonder around and get away from the traffic. True that it’s small but the ruins are interesting. It was quiet when I was here and saw hardly anyone walking the paths.

A nice and free entrance place to visit. it must've been very difficult for the Indians to settle here on this lava volcanic rocky place.
There are pyramids on both sides (East and West) of Insurgentes avenue.

Nice archaeology, much better nature walk. The archaeological site is interesting, one of the oldest structures of its kind found in Central Mexico and the only one to be conical rather than a pyramid. The adjoining museum does not offer much information or displays and is entirely in Spanish.
The highlight for me was definitely the surrounding natural reserve, with a winding walkway through the volcanic lava fields left by the eruption of the Xitle volcano, which itself led to Cuicuilco being abandoned. Along with other “pedregales” (like those in the UNAM’s University City), these geological wonders feature rock formations that still seem to flow, in addition to typical flora and fauna that add up to some of the most unique natural sights in Mexico City.

A cylindrical ancient pyramid, museum and park. The pyramid is obviously ruins, but the park was not well preserved. And the museum is small. No events here nor additional exhibits that I can remember. What a pitty!
