I had a different review last time I came. Yes, the prices are still good, the manager is attentive and the rooms are nice. However, the cleaning lady would insist to knock on your door to clean, even if you asked to be allowed to sleep. The personnel doesn't care for that, they want to enter your room and they don't mind waking you up. Also they have a communication system that's unique: they use a megaphone, no matter if they wake the clients up. Sounds crazy, right? It's not a joke. This is how they communicate with the personnel at each stage of the building. If you travel on a budget it's ok... Provided that you did not find another place that would actually let you rest.

The place is nice. There are pros and cons. Visited in December and the room was quite cold in the night. Aircon doesn't help if there's no heating. Staff were friendly and did their best, but it's hard if you don't speak Spanish. Big plus is the jacuzzi in the room. If you go there, book the room with jacuzzi. Than the room temperature is not that important anymore. Metro station very close. Area around is not so nice. But it's Mexico City. Generally ok.

Great value, nice rooms.

The area isn't touristy but you can get anywhere very quickly on Uber. There are a few good places to eat near by.

The hotel staff was super rude after I told them I had my Kindle stolen. After I spoke to the manager, he said it was my fault for leaving the door open (which I did not). Be careful if you ever decide to stay here! It might be cheap, but you might lose your valuables!

Old retro hotel, very clean easy to get to, including public transportation. The floors are a bit crooked, but I'm guessing is do to all the earthquakes.

Nice and clean, 15 minutes away from Zócalo, Subway is really close.
