This corner of fusion cuisine between Spain and Mexico is a jem hidden beneath the busy life of the center of Mexico City.
The place is owned by a guy from Madrid and the other one is from Mexico and bam!
Coolest fusion ever!
Bechamel is the perfect place where you would like to sit to take a breath from the Mexican heath, by drinking a sangria and eating pinchos and croquettes.
Jamón serrano here is the king and you can try it in different presentation.
I tried the “degustación” of croquettes and it was delicious, they also offer some sweet ones like queso de cabra, Nutella and plátano (banana).
The place is just above one of the main streets of the historical center a couple of blocks away from Zocalo (main square where is the Cathedral).
The staff is friendly and welcoming, they take their time to explain you about the place and about what you wanna order.
While I was there, there were couples, friends and business people, it’s really fine for all kind of situations.
They have a large list of beverages and also options for vegans and kids which makes this place suitable to enjoy family and friends.
I’ll come back for sure, next time enjoying some company as I’m sure 100% people will love it as much as I did.
