I hate guided tours.
This was a massive exception. You don’t have to take the tour - you can walk around by yourself - but this was GREAT. They have a collection of native fruit trees, that in-season they let you taste/smell/touch. They keep native bees. They tell ancient legends about how Maya believe these trees came about. Hugely interesting for all ages.

Nice to see plants, but the place is a breeding ground for mosquitoes with stagnant standing water. I would have liked to see some flowers too but I guess it was the wrong season. If you go, wear long loose clothes and bring all your mosquito repellent!

Beautiful botanical gardens and I got the place to myself! Was very quiet the day I went which i was very happy about! The security guard was very nice and they had extra mosquito spray for us!

Just got here and the place has being close since last year. Don’t understand why is not updated in google.

THIS PLACE IS NOT STRAIGHT FORWARD TO FIND FOR THE LOW BUDGET ITS THE 7 PESO BUS BUT I NEVER FOUND ONE THAT TOOK ME ALL THE WAY THERE I FOUND YOU GO TO GRAND PLAZA THEN WALK 15 MIN. IF YOU GO BY TAXI ITS 100 PESO. THE WEBSITE SAYS ITS OPEN UNTIL 4PM BUT I ARRIVED AT 12.00 TO BE TOLD IT CLOSED AT 12.30 EVEN THEN I THOUGHT I MIGHT AS WELL GO IN FOR 30 MIN SEEING AS IT COST SO MUCH EFFORT TO GET THERE. BUT EVEN THEN THE GUARD DECIDED HE DIDN'T WANT ME COMING IN SO I LEFT AND WALKED BACK TO GRAND PLAZA TOTAL WASTE OF TIME.
