Tiny little cafe with 2 tables. Love the decor and the quietness. No food. Only pastries and coffee u0026 a few desserts. The pastries are delicious! Service is excellent. Coffee was exceptional the first time, but second time just OK hence the 4 stars.

You can sit in the bakery to eat, but there is no service. The employee was on her smartphone when arriving and leaving. Quality of croissants is below average. There was a tea box, but no possibility to get tea. Coffee was only possible without milk. This was at 10:30 on Saturday morning.

The absolute BEST bakery in Merida! Not to mention, I had a beautiful conversation with Teresa which made my experience unforgettable. Delicious croissants and friendly workers! I will always get my baked goods at Escargot ❤️

Went this morning for some breakfast and it turns out we were their first post covid customers! We ordered croque madames, croissants, bacon cheese twists, and apple pastries and it was all muy delicioso! Thank you guys so much! 15/10!

If you want to experience a REAL french croissant, go to the "Escargot". I am french and I know what I am talking about. François-Xavier puts all his heart in order to give you the best french experience he can. I am here since 2 months, it took me all this time to find the good place. We also loved the cheese-ham croissant. Don't hesitate to taste. And François-Xavier is accessible, easy going, welcoming and cultured. Wake up early (8h to 10h) to get the best.

When I visited, there was... nothing... except for exceptionally dry baguette.
