100% Natural is a Mexican healthy restaurant chain and the Merida location is half a block from the main plaza.
I visited here for dinner during my stay. I am plant based and was searching for some healthy, veggie friendly food in Merida and stumbled upon this restaurant.
The menu had the vegetarian and vegan options clearly labeled, though I was expecting there to be more options than what was available. There were very few complete vegan options. I ended up ordering the Tacos Vegetarianos with one of their tropical fruit juices. I thought it was odd that the menu indicated that the tacos were made on whole wheat tortillas, when corn tortillas are traditionally used for Mexican tacos. I asked for mine with corn tortillas instead, as I am gluten free, and this was accommodated though the waiter seemed a little confused at first and clarified multiple times with me. The tacos were pretty good, but not the best veggie tacos I’ve had in Mexico. They weren’t super flavourful and consisted of shredded carrots, soy meat, and greens and a tahini sauce on top.
The staff were friendly and service was attentive and good. I liked the interior of the restaurant - it was super clean with a modern and fresh design, and I enjoyed the plant leaves that were painted on the walls. It was also air conditioned, which was refreshing in the heat of Merida. I would give this restaurant 3.5 stars but Google doesn’t have that option.
