The prices are for a 5 star place, but there are some 3 star issues happening here. We enjoyed our stay and would come back, but just expect some minor issues.
1. One of our rooms had someone’s left over cans of beer in the fridge.
2. The ceiling of our bathroom had dry wall repairs done from a previous leak, but whoever did the repair has no idea how to work with dry wall. I mean really, it was super awful patchy work with cracks and hills, and not smooth and even at all. This means whoever is in charge of that work is seriously under qualified and or the person managing those workers are not inspecting their work and or hiring people without the skills needed to repair dry wall.
3. The elevator doors will kill you. No joke. The doors are supposed to sense if there is someone standing in them and not close. I was with my elderly mother and she walks slow, at one point the doors started to close on me, I turned sideways and both doors were pressing into me, they didn’t bounce back open, I had to squeeze myself out of the doors. Thank god the elevator didn’t start going up or down when that happened. I told the front desk and the lady smiled and said “yeah, we know“ and chuckled.
The first time the door closed on my hand when I tried to stop it because It was already closing by the time my mom walked into it, so I put my hand in and it closed on my hand and did the same thing where it didn’t sense the blockage and just wanted to stay closed.
4. The window in our bedroom has a little metal vent that you can open, but it doesn’t have a latch or a way to keep it closed permanently. Our kept opening up on us which means the air conditioning was going out the window, and the noise was coming into our room.
All in all, friendly staff, comfortable beds, clean rooms and a good location.
We would stay again. Just don’t expect 5 star by Northerner standards.
