This is a very nice hotel... the breakfast is delicious and great quality!! The orange juice is real!!!
When you enter the odor if the hotel is pleasant!
They asked first to signed a blank voucher (like every hotel of this kind).... but it is opt to you to acccept!!
I never had any problems with the reservation... everything was so smooth!!

The hotel overall is a nice facility. The lobby and restaurants are nicely appointed. I did not try any food during my stay. The rooms are modern and the beds are comfortable. The hotel has a very nice pool area and gym. Where the hotel lacks is customer service.

My wife and I wanted to enjoy the pool after a long day. The pool rules state that no outside food or drink is allowed and we wanted to honor that. We were told by the front desk staff that drinks and towels could be received by calling in from the pool. The phone at the pool looked like something from the 1980s and did not work.

I went inside to get drinks. The hotel staff have limited English skills, which for a hotel in the interior of Mexico is not a surprise. I ordered two margaritas. The bartender offered me two shots in the drinks, to which I agreed. For use by the pool, I received two half-filled styrofoam cups, with no lids. I asked if the bartender could top off the drinks with mix and was told no. When the bartender tried to charge my drinks to my room I found that no one told me at check-in that I would need a tab for incidentals.

I asked to speak to the manager and Luis tried to help. He "understood" English about as well as I "understand" Spanish, and while he tried to help he could not or would not go beyond policy. I was glad to open an incidentals account and I asked for towels. It took me almost 30 minutes to get two half-filled drinks in a fashionable styrofoam cup. Towels later showed up as we were getting ready to leave the pool.

There was a lack of understanding of the nuance of the situation. The phone to the pool should work and not come from the Vincente Fox era of Mexico. Getting two drinks should have been minutes and not required so much fuss. Honestly, comping the two drinks would have gone a long way, but that was not offered.

While this was my first (and last) stay at this hotel I know that they have held large events previously, as my wife has attended them at the hotel. The hotel chain has or has had full-service all-inclusive hotels in its chain.

The tone deafness of the staff soured the stay at what is a nice-looking hotel.

The prices are for a 5 star place, but there are some 3 star issues happening here. We enjoyed our stay and would come back, but just expect some minor issues.

1. One of our rooms had someone’s left over cans of beer in the fridge.

2. The ceiling of our bathroom had dry wall repairs done from a previous leak, but whoever did the repair has no idea how to work with dry wall. I mean really, it was super awful patchy work with cracks and hills, and not smooth and even at all. This means whoever is in charge of that work is seriously under qualified and or the person managing those workers are not inspecting their work and or hiring people without the skills needed to repair dry wall.

3. The elevator doors will kill you. No joke. The doors are supposed to sense if there is someone standing in them and not close. I was with my elderly mother and she walks slow, at one point the doors started to close on me, I turned sideways and both doors were pressing into me, they didn’t bounce back open, I had to squeeze myself out of the doors. Thank god the elevator didn’t start going up or down when that happened. I told the front desk and the lady smiled and said “yeah, we know“ and chuckled.

The first time the door closed on my hand when I tried to stop it because It was already closing by the time my mom walked into it, so I put my hand in and it closed on my hand and did the same thing where it didn’t sense the blockage and just wanted to stay closed.

4. The window in our bedroom has a little metal vent that you can open, but it doesn’t have a latch or a way to keep it closed permanently. Our kept opening up on us which means the air conditioning was going out the window, and the noise was coming into our room.

All in all, friendly staff, comfortable beds, clean rooms and a good location.

We would stay again. Just don’t expect 5 star by Northerner standards.

the hotel is too expensive for what you pay. The facilities are dated, rooms are not clean, I stayed twice and both times I could see hair in the bathroom. Air conditioing is too noisy and old. Pillows and bed were uncomfortbale. They offered to change my roon but not worth my time since I am only staying 1 night as no better option in thsi town. They should not even offer these kind of rooms to guests to begin with.

They are currently doing work on the hotel. The hotel and room is just a tad old and outdated and needs renovation. Although I didn't try the buffet my family went a couple of times and said it was good.
