Very friendly owner who speaks very good English. Much larger inside than it looks. It appears to be a small restaurant, but it's the entire corner building, thus the name: Carmen's Corner. Edouardo told me it was about 170 years old. The food was great - I had the hambourguesa pollo, or chicken hamburger; which is a slightly breaded piece of chicken, fried with lettuce, onion, tomato on a nice soft bun. It was great and the lettuce was very fresh. Came with a bit of ketchup and mustard on the bun. That and an apple soda cost me 55 MEX pesos; which is about $3.50 USD in Feb 2018. Great place- I'll be back again this week for the great prices and excellent service. This is my first time in Guadalajara, and I'll definitely be back. All the people are friendly and honest( the ones I met) - one young man picked up a 500 pesos note I didn't see fall, and said: Patron( pronounce patrone); which is a respectful way of saying high-class old guy, as he handed me my banknote. I am definitely not in New York City.
