I am not staying at this hotel. I just come here for the buffet breakfast. The service is good and the family owned restaurant gives good service. The breakfast food to me is one of the best I have tasted in the city. The owner is always at the cashier's front area and talks to the customers. The servers are very nice to talk to provide you with whatever you need. I have had a very enjoyable experience every time I eat breakfast here which is everyday.
Come and try the buffet at hotel Francis and make your own opinion but I think you will like it.

Not sure if my previous review posted so I will repost! I had a great experience at this hotel. The location is perfect! The first night my mom and I got there, we got there late so they had to take the last room which had no AC only fans that you could plug in. We were not satisfied with that since it was very hot the next day so we went downstairs to ask if we could move into a room with AC. They had no problem accommodating our needs which made me extremely happy! Their receptionist (Hector) is 10 out of 10 with customer service as well as their bartender (Francisco) who were very friendly and helpful during our stay.. their breakfast buffet is amazing, with much variety of food and natural juices! I will be staying in this hotel again for sure, its worth every penny spent! Also, very reasonable prices! I loved it.. ????????

This hotel has mediocre facilities and the bedrooms don’t have AC instead they have a loud fan which doesn’t do anything in a 30 degree room. Also they don’t have mosquito nets or window guards so expect to be bitten by mosquitos all night. The only reason it’s a two star is because the staff were friendly. But I would never choose to stay here again, if you like hot and stuffy rooms with little ventilation this is a good choice for you, considering how expensive it is you think it’d be better..

Clean and simple rooms. An amazing view of Central Guadalajara on the top floor. The oldest operating hotel in Guadalajara with authentic and true Mexican charm. We make it a point to stay at least 1 night per year!

400 plus year old hotel rooms so please be consider it. The location cant be beat if you are looking for the best overall location for the price. Their terrace is a magnificent place to enjoy the sunsets

It was alright the only thing was the floor wood floor creaked a lot at night and the beds were small but it had air conditioning, and the room was big. The elevator was also slow and and old so u most likely will be taking the stairs .We also had no scares and it was calm :)

Caution with parking, asked for my car at 6 am for flight wasnt ready and they had no note of it despite "writing it down" and being reminded multiple times. Staff is friendly but rooms are very small and outdated! bathroom was full of mold and shower head didnt work right, if your a larger person it may be a tight squeeze to get into my husband is moderately big and he felt uncomfortable for the huge sink that makes it hard to get into the toilet and shower.
