Holiday Inn Guadalajara Select, an IHG Hotel

This Holiday Inn Select (because of its "select" name) is expected to be high in its family (IHG) kind... unfortunatelly it is not at least in my recent experience.
They did not welcome you as an IHG member, they do not grant you with welcome cupon nor a welcome kit as other IHG hotels also in Mexico or worldwide.
This Holiday Inn Select in Zapopan, charges extra for parking! While others do not charge for parking.
A guest would expect value added as free parking.
Also, for corporate rates they do not include breakfast as others IHG. Not only that. They have local promotions exactly as corporate rates... so no difference at all being a IHG member or having corporate rates...
None added values at all to IHG members or corporate rates...
A good thing though, view to Zapopan area is nice from the higher floors.

The hotel is so good, my favorite service was the breakfast, so delicious and it has variety, and the rooms are clean with a good service, but it can be better the sevice!

The place is old, rooms not has enough light, parking lot has an extra cost, attention for the personal is good

This is my place to stay if I'm in Guadalajara. The service is great and consistent. The rooftop pool is extraordinary!!! Its really special with its amazing view. The food is pretty good and the room service is fast. And I like the decor and design. The rooms are big and the beds are awesome. And the gym is pretty good too. What more could you ask for?

Its close to a good Cafe, laundry mat and convenience stores and a few restaurants.

Holiday Inn Guadalajara was a great find. We slept comfortably, and were very happy with the staff and crew. In a very central location with restaurants and store (oxxo) near by. Would definitely stay here again to enjoy their roof top pool!

I had an overall good sleep in the hotel, but two things were not good.
1. Bad smell coming from bathroom.
2. Wrongly assigned bed size when I requested King size, they gave Queen size.

The time I had there it was great, rooms are quite and clean.
The only bad experience is that when I just finished bath time a person from housekeeping knocked and never said who was knocking plus that she just knocked one time good thing was that I already had my pants on because she opened the door and put her head in and just asked if we were missing anything else.. my wife and I looked each other not understanding why she just opened without noticed..
