Not a great location. No breakfast was ever put out except a loaf of bread and toaster. No coffee. Loud street. No air conditioning.

pros: hotel has a beautiful well maintained courtyard with communal seating, plants u0026 shade from the strong GDL sun. It’s in a fantastic location with an easy walk to most sites (cathedral, trains, buses). Attentive, friendly u0026 helpful front desk. Felt like a hostel set up (in a good way) with morning breakfast u0026 shared kitchen. Beds were comfortable u0026 clean. There was enough furniture in the room so you don’t have to put all your personal effects on the ground.
Cons: there’s a nearby dog that barks quite a lot. My earplugs solved that issue.

The room was small and dark and had one window that opened out to inner part of hotel where others smoked cigs. Shared kitchen and patio. Balcony was over in one corner upstairs for "view " . Staff was nice. Stayed one night instead of 5 and booked different hotel.

Beautiful, colourful place. Open air courtyard in the middle is the best setting for breakfast. Location is so close to the train, short walk to downtown. Many restaurants and amenities nearby. The staff are welcoming, helpful in providing a safe comfortable environment. Definitely recommend!

Do not let them put you in room 10 by the front door. The toilet had trouble flushing (also there were a ton of little flies all over the walls) so we had to use other restrooms for the 3 nights we were there. The hot water would be really hot then would run out very quickly after that. The English-speaking manager that I kept reading about never made an appearance so it was very difficult asking for/about anything. We stayed over the weekend before Christmas so maybe they were on vacation. I would say that you shouldn't stay here unless you speak Spanish and take very quick, hot showers.

Bearing in mind that this is not by any stretch meant to be a luxury accomodation, Casa Vilasanta is charming and inexpensive, and is brilliantly located providing easy acces to the most attractive areas of Guadalajara.
