Went to Cantina Mexicaltzingo on a Wednesday night and had a great time with a group of friends. One of our friends was celebrating his birthday and got a bottle of tequila on the house. The food was amazing! Everything tasted good. We ordered nachos, queso con chorizo, guacamole and tacos. My husband was very happy with the shrimp tacos he ordered and I was happy with all the tacos I ordered as well.

Visited this location for the first time on a Saturday night. Asked the waiter for six Don Julio 70 shots at $140 pesos each plus tip. It was a bit weird that he asked for money upfront, when tequilas arrived, they were not what I ordered. What we were served was cheap tequila and thinking that it’s late, people are drinking and won’t tell the difference. That is stealing money and treating patrons without any respect. Many people would not have noticed the difference but I have to say that the Captain took care of things and did bring the correct order, when issue was identified. I only imagine how many times this has happened, especially to people already having few drinks throughout the night. Poor service. Good music and that is why I give it a 2 star... “Que no les den gato por liebre”

DJ shares some popular Mexican music with a fresh beat. In the screens you can see Mexican Golden Movies era movies. The vibe is good and you can access dressed not too formal

This place is popping. Definitely recommend it to have a good time
