I like this place! The guys are friendly, the drinks cheap, and the music is fun and varied. No broken bottles all over the floor and sleazy straight guys trying to pick up on your fruit fly!

12/31/19—spent New Year’s Eve in GDL, and again, made California’s my bar of choice. The bartenders made me feel like I was home, and the crowd was filled with hot and friendly guys from all over. Hands down my favorite place in GDL.

Great place and music. Beer tasted weird, tasted like old refrigerated beers. In times of Covid, they’re not taking care at all controlling attendees. Be careful.

This bar is a fun place but it gets really really crowded. The clientele are young gay men in their 20s and 30s. There is a 50 peso cover. There is a main floor and an upstairs. Technically there isn't a dance floor, instead one is created out of any open spots. The alcohol is relatively cheap and the music is great. The music is mostly pop in both Spanish and English. There are also some genres like cumbia, rap, Ru0026B, and house music. Regarding the name. I love the confused use of apostrophe's in Mexican business names. The bar is called California's bar, but there really isn't anything that connects it to the golden state. I guess the crowdedness could represent Los Angeles traffic. Bar is worth a visit. While you're there have some tequila in the city and state that invented tequila.

Great bar with good music and videos. Pretty good sized crowd by 10PM on weekends. Friendly waitstaff and pretty decent drink prices. Highly recommended.

DJ played top pop 40s, had a good crowd for a Thursday night with no cover, great prices, great atmosphere will definitely come back

It gets packed after midnight. You should appreciate locals and they’ll be nice in return.
