Weird vibe. Couldn't understand the layout. The photos online are completely deceptive. The lounge area is only outside so if it rains their eis no communal space unless you want to sit in reception which feels like an odd thing to do. Bathrooms grossed me out. Pay slightly extra for somewhere squeaky clean and modern like Boho hostel

This is the second blue pepper property I have stayed at and I will keep coming back. The staff is extremely helpful for questions/requests. The price for accommodation is unheard of especially for the fantastic location.
Great spot in amazing location with strong WiFi.

The positives: Great price, great location, good wifi.

The negatives: Dirty rooms, broken windows, bugs in the shower, and the absolute worst bed ever. Creaky, rock-hard, concave, ripped sheets.

Got maybe one hour of sleep.

Stay somewhere else.

Weird vibe, empty with just drunk druggies. No water for the last day we stayed. Toilet in the room didn’t flush and left an awful smell. Super hot in the dorm room and terribly uncomfortable beds. When we tried to leave the male receptionist was very aggressive about the late checkout despite all the problems we had and threatened to call the police. Would not recommend to anyone!

Amazing host. I’ve stayed at many hostels across Asia, Latin America and Europe; Blue Pepper has the same vibe as a cool Euro hostile. I stayed in a private room. The pricing was perfect for the accommodations. Bathrooms were regularly cleans. Showers Water heated up regular water heated up rather quickly. Check in procedure was easy. Available sightseeing was reasonably price and pleasant, worth every pesos. Luis was very helpful. Make sure you take the Tequila Tour. $550 pesos!

Why they dont put any ventilators in the dorm? I can’t breathe the whole night because it was so airless. I was attacked from mosquitos, too- it was terrible. Thats a big minus. We met nice people but in a dorm with no air, thats a big big problem. Please change it a give the travelers a ventilatior otherwise you should not rent it!

This hostel has potential to be awesome. It has the benefit of a prime downtown location with convenience being a big plus. But what is killing its reputation is dishonest business practices. I was ripped off and overcharged during my stay. What a shame. I was considering staying here more days. Beware.
