Normally I don't do a lot of reviews, but this hotel deserves it. We had an exceptional experience at this hotel. The only cons are that the rooms seem a bit outdated (the lights are a bit dim since they are incandescent, the bathroom fan switch is a mechanical knob, there is only one visible outlet to charge phones, and the bathroom shower head is really old) and the water is salty. The salty water is really bad, but I can't really blame it on the hotel since the local government is the one pumping salty water to southern Ensenada. Besides from these two things everything was great. The service was awesome, the food at the hotel was delicious, and they even have a private beach. Oh! And José is right next to the private beach so one can rent multiple services from him.
The service:
- The entrance is always monitored. They are always checking who goes in and out.
- The reception clerks were great. They provide really useful information and maps of the place.
-The hotel is big, so once we left the reception and made it to the parking lot there was someone waiting to help.us out with the luggage.
- House keeping was great.
- The personnel at the hotel's restaurant was exceptional. They are very attentive and friendly.
The food:
I had many different plates there but from what I remember:
- I tried the Tacos Gobernador on the first day (I think that's what there were called) and they were delicious.
- For breakfast I had the chilaquiles verdes con huevo and tampiqueña.
- The pescado sarandeado was also delicious.
- I also had the Estero special and it was also great.
- Last but not least, on Sundays they have buffet. They have multie stations and everything is delicious. I tried the Marlin, camarón en crema and pulpo en vino tacos and they were delicious. I also tried the champiñón, tinga, and chorizo quesadillas and they were also delicious.
José:
- He is next to the private beach and you can rent multiple services from him from paddle boarding, banana rides and jet skiing.
