Scam!!! We ordered fish of the day for 150 per person. When they gave us receipt, they asked for 200, saying they didnt have the fish of the day and they had to serve us different one. In total, we paid 100 more than expected. I wouldnt come back again! Very dissapointing experience.

You have to walk a little to get away from all the people and inevitable trash. But! Once you do its a nice place for a lazy afternoon. If you see the lady selling doughnuts BUY ONE!

We ate lunch twice at the Restaurant Playa Tortugas. The favorite menu items were the grilled fish fillet, ceviche (fish, shrimp, and octopus with diced onions and tomatoes), and guacamole. The restaurant location provides a great view of the ocean with Isla Mujeres in the distance (and the occassional bungee cord jumper). Be aware that from the main street one walks past some pushy vendors to reach the restaurant.
