Terrible hospital and money hungry. My dad had a heart attack while on vacation for seven days in Mexico from the US. He had surgery and was kept in the ICU. They kept him sedated the entire time and drs would not show us labs or tests because we had a balance. All different drs would tell us different things. We were going crazy with all the uncertainty. If we asked questions they would get mad. They claimed my dad also had Covid to which later we found out it was a lie. They kept giving us different diagnosis to provide “new” treatments and keep charging us and so he could remain in ICU, where it was a lot more expensive then a regular room. After 2 weeks and 400k pesos later we decided to airlift my father to Stanford ca. where they immediately informed us he was on high amounts of sedation from Mexico. They then told us he was practically brain dead. This is something drs at Santa Maria chapalita hospital knew and they were just giving us hope and collecting money. In the icu waiting room we’re other families going through the same thing and drs we’re demanding cash. Please do not go there. They will keep patients sedated to collect money and make up diagnosis for treatments.
