The Alcazar suites is located in a nice area and the hotel front gate is locked at all time so I felt very safe staying in here. Also, there are cameras looking at different areas of the hotel and the front desk is 24 hours. Room is spacious with a full kitchen! It’s definitely not a kitchenette it’s a full kitchen! The kitchen is well-equipped with big fridge, pots and pans, juicer, toaster, coffee maker, dishes and cutleries etc. The room feels homey with a lot of windows for sunlight. The receptionist and staffs are really nice too! There is an oxxo convenience store 2-3 mins walk away so it’s easy to grab drinks or snacks even in the night. Overall I had a nice stay and I probably would come back again in the future !
However, there are some slight drawbacks or else I would have given it a 5 stars.
1) The wifi! The wifi is really weak and most of the time I cannot connect to the wifi. And for the time that I can connect, the speed is just really slow. But this can easily be solved by having your own SIM card with data.
2) While the kitchen is wonderful, the smoke detector is REALLY sensitive. I cooked a steak with extractor fan on, ceiling fan on, windows and even door open, and it still set off the alarm. For the time that it took to cook a big ribeye steak, the smoke detector went off like 4-5 times. That’s really quite annoying and loud. But the good part is the staff that came to check was really nice about it and didn’t blame me for setting it off.
3) Finally it’s the bar next door and music til late night (3-4am) that other comments mentioned. But I can only hear it in the toilet when I close the toilet door and bedroom windows I can’t hear it so it doesn’t bother me.
