People is nice but the problem is that it is an old Hotel. I called maintenance to fix a leak on the roof on the bathroom they "fixed" I went out for a couple hours when I went back the leak was still there and part of the roof on the floor, carpets on the hallways look dirty as well

I've been hearing lots of great things about this hotel until I checked in on the weekend after my power and water at my place in Villahermosa shutdown. Front desk Paz was pleasant, pool nice, service to get drinks extremely slow, order at pool and had to wait 20minutes and the place was empty. So that started off not so good. The room was good then upon checking out I left and drove home 10minutes away. Remember I forgot a very expensive cologne and my apple charge. Drove back within 10minutes. Mentioned to front desk what was forgotten and they reach-out to the maid service. I waited 20minutes and still wasn't getting results. Finally after waiting I asked to go to room and look myself. So I did upon noticed someone had been in the room and tossed the sheets around and both items weren't in room. Clearly this place doesn't have a lost and found more like FORGOT AND YOU LOSE Policy! So does the Marriott allow theft in there hotels is the question? I filled a complaint with Paz and never heard back I called left another complaint and nothing.
Rule of thumb there isn't honest people and triple check your room before leaving the Marriott's!

Amazing superior room, nice view on the swimming pool, 10th floor service was perfect and staff were lovely. There was nothing I could change.

I have to keep in mind that this hotel is both one of the best options in Villahermosa (not saying much) and relatively inexpensive. If the hotel was in the US, it would likely be condemned. Regardless, it is well located and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The pool is huge and nice to relax by. The pool bar is closed (COVID) but waiter service is available. Lots of cleaning staff. I’m trying to be positive. The building is very sad and in need of refurbishment. Carpets are stained and frayed. It just feels worn out. Doors broken, basement (gym/conference room floor) leaks after heavy rain. The gym has so much potential but the elliptical and bike are broken. The floor is rotting because of the leaks. Hot and humid. Weights work. I was in a suite, which was spacious, but again, it is tired. Old furniture, loud AC, useless refrigerator, stained shower curtain. The usual. Bed very comfy, work space was great and Wi-Fi was fast. This helped a lot. Big TV, small, stinky couch. COVID wasn’t my concern when I was near those cushions! Good breakfast buffet. Dinner options are varied and half decent (fish tacos, ribeye tacos, tortilla soup and fish dishes all good. Short rib and steak options not great). Wine options are terrible, but I appreciate this is not a big deal for most people. Run across to the Walmart for decent booze. Room service is efficient. Hotel bar closed, ice machines offline.

Kind and efficient staff. Nice location but mold smell affects some rooms. Good restaurant but Menu should be renovated more often

Great place to stay. Weather is short or long term. Beds are awesome, all staff but one are great and professional. Room service is also great. They go the extra mile to ensure the cleanliness of the rooms.
