Holiday Inn Express Torreon, an IHG Hotel

Unfortunately, I already paid for a whole week in the suite, which is very poorly equipped and the reception is unresponsive whenever we need something. The small fridge sticks totally out out of the cabinet and there is no hot water in the sink. Also, there is not a single piece of furniture on the balcony. Two thumbs down!

I understand that because of Covid-19 the management of the hotel is trying to reduce costs but at least try to have decent towels. We did not even have bath mat towels. The lady that was cleaning the rooms provided excellent service but there is so much she can do as the hotel does not provide new towels. They were too old. We stayed 6 days in the hotel but we just had breakfast the first two days and then decided to have breakfast outside as it was not good. In general my feeling tis that this hotel does not represent well the Holiday Inn brand.

The staff was very friendly when we arrived and during the stay. I had motorcycle loaded on my truck and the security guard at the underground parking made me feel relaxed leaving the truck and motorcycle there. The overall stay was good.

The hotel is conveniently located near the airport and is walking distance from stores and restaurants. However, the facilities are visibly dated and worn, every square foot of finishes inside and outside need to be refurbished to bring a much more modern and clean experience to us customers.

The only bad thing it was the toilets. Other than that the beds are great. And the staff really help full. So nice to stay again.

Overall stay was perfect. Cleaning lady did a perfect job and took great care.
My major complaint is with the breakfast service. 1st advertised start time is 6:30am week days and 7:00am weekends. This is never the case. Normally they might start setting up at the advertised times. Thus causes us major delays in the morning to make it to work on time. They should start the set up early so breakfast is ready at the advertised start times.
2nd many times when a large group stays at the hotel they take no precaution for the regular stay people . Which normally results to us not even getting breakfast. Large groups should be accommodated in different methods.
Thank you. We will have to start using a different hotel soon if this does not get corrected.

The staff was very helpful. The airline lost my luggage and was going to deliver my bag to the hotel...they made sure this happened and held it at the front desk until I was able to retrieve it.

I also left my shoes in the room when I checked out...they retrieved them from the room and held them at the front desk for 24 hours after I checked out until I could come back to get them. Very helpful and polite!
