I used to go grocery shopping in Calimax but went to La Ley one time because we wanted to order Chinese food which was almost beside La Ley.
After we placed the order for Chinese food, we went out to check what they have to offer at La Ley.
The security guard was courteous and tagged my grocery bags so I can take them in.
The store looks like smaller than Calimax in floor space.
Maybe it's the placement of the racks or the way the store merchandise are located, but it definitely feels cramped.
The store may not be as big as Calimax but it's clean. The lighting is not as bright but it's fine.
As for the merchandise, I found a couple of produce I don't normally find in Calimax, Soriana, or even at Walmart.
Longbeans and bittermelon.
WOW!
The prices, generally is a bit lower than the other stores I mentioned.
They don't have a lot of meat that's not prepackaged but the ones they have, especially the beef looks fresh and well wrapped.
Most of the groceries from the other stores, are available in La Ley, except for a flavor of ice cream in a tub that I always get from Calimax: Cookies and Cream.
All in all, La Ley is a good place to shop.
Outside, there's a Chinese Restaurant, a Roma pharmacy, a Bancoppel.
Right across the street is Little Caesar's if you are craving for some pizza.
Then if you're almost out of gas, there's the gas station which used to be PeMex but now goes by a different name.
At the intersection, there's a guy selling oranges by the bag and trays of strawberries.
What more could you ask?
