This place is an authentic Mexican restaurant. You can get enchiladas, tamales, tacos a vapor, Mexican soups, quesadillas, guacamole, tostadas and much more. They follow COVID-19 safety measures and the personnel are attentive. The pricing is very fair and this restaurant has been around since for over 20 years and brings to life the Mexican folklore. Come with your family, with your friends or with your spouse for a great time. There is even live karaoke singers from time to time.

Very friendly staff. Asked for broth ( wife had surgery) they knew what to order, even if not in english.

This is a cozy place and is highly recommended if you plan to visit Tijuana. They serve authentic Mexican food and beverages. The staff are very friendly and accommodating, willing to make sure that your stay is awesome. The price is also affordable and the place is just near the border. This place is famous in Tijuana so it would be easy for you to locate it even if you will just ask the locals.

Amazing service. The waiter never once stopped coming over to see how we were doing on food or drinks. He took care of the business as it should be taken care of. Congrats you guys get 5 stars. Valet too.

If you find yourself in the area, you should pop in for a quick bite. The staff was attentive and nice. They brought out chips, salsas and pickled onions and carrots. We had a late breakfast but were still a little hungry, so were ordered a couple of snacky items. The bean "taco a vapor" was on point and the cheese quesadilla was great.

La Especial truly is muy especial! It was founded almost 70 years ago and has a happy, satisfied clientele. It was my first visit. I loved it. I had a rib eye steak cooked to perfection. The soup and salad were great, as were the rice, beans, and guacamole! And the traditional hot chocolate with dessert was super yummy. I will go back!
