Nelson bar is one of my favorite bars in Tijuana. A true dive that keeps it real. A dying breed on such a busy, popular street downtown.

Bar flies, locals, tired border workers, and anyone seeking a break from the loud over-crowded clubs. This is the spot. A killer music box. Snake tequila. Cool and friendly staff. And excellent tacos. Support this place. It is historic and has been kickin since 1948.

The girl bartender in the morning, she has a face like a raccoon or an opossum. Shes a horrible person and a theif. Everyone else is pretty cool.

The food was great! My boyfriend and I got cóctel de camarón and it was flavorful. My boyfriend got the Clamato and it did not taste very great. It wasn’t bad but it wasn’t good. I got a lime margarita blended and it was sooo good !!! I will definitely come back for that. However, there was plastic in my drink. And I tried calling on of the servers but they were all busy chismeando. Shout out to our server who was doing all the work! even for other tables! I ended up not saying anything and continue drinking it carefully. When you enter you must put on hand sanitizer and they make you wait. But the servers were busy talking they did not acknowledge the guest which was very disrespectful.I will be back but service needs to change. Went on Saturday around 12 ish 1 ish.
