Not necessarily a hotel anymore. But if you feel like experiencing the inside of a Mexican jail, feel free to let a cop see you walk in here. Or show up any morning and between 6am-9am the Mexican cops will show up in a van and they line you up and search you, most of the time steal your stuff. [NOTE FOR FEMALES: There's a big butch/duke female cop that likes to do more thorough inspections and hold, squeeze and feel body parts a little longer then usual.] Then they throw anyone they find in the back of the van, and take you to jail. What are there grounds for taking you to jail? They don't need any. With no proof, They just accuse you of having drugs, or paraphernalia, etc. Don't worry the cops are nice enough to let you pay them to get out. For a local it runs them about $200 pesos, for someone from the other side (US) your looking at anything between $200 - $2,000 pesos. If you go in with a partner they are even nice enough to let one of you leave the jail to go get the money and comeback for your partner. Or if you got an expensive phone you can leave that as collateral sometimes too. But if you don't come back they wont necessarily look for you, but if they catch you on the street your definitely going in and good luck to you at that point.
