I love this place.
I bring my friends here.
The food (seafood) and ambiance is always so great.
The service is usually fine but it is definitely an opportunity to make it more consistently great.
I love the tacos with inventive ingredients. Today, I tried the broccolini taco for the first time. While, it had broccoli instead of broccolini, I still found it tasty with it's mix of shrimp, avocado, and garlic chips. It just worked for me.
The cocktails I had tonight, the Janeiro, didn't work for me. Too sweet and not as citrusy as I'd expected. But I don't knock the place because I know there would have been something I would have loved on the cocktail menu.
This restaurant is one in a collection of restaurants chef-ed in part by Javier Placensia, a local chef célèbre. The food is interesting and experience fantastic.
I only wish the menu had a little more variance. That it was a little more risk taking.
I love Mexican food but I'm not always up for tacos, tostadas, or aguachiles. Sometimes, I want something more substantial. The last time I did order a plato fuerte but it was just grilled veggies and the seafood choice in a sauce. A delicious sauce, but nonetheless not exactly exciting.
Recommended.
