It's okay for the price you pay. In my case, I stayed at a private room.
Location wise is fabulous the Alameda is about at a 10 min walk.
Rooms are a bit small but quite comfy, there's no AC but there is a ceiling fan, everything is quite clean and you get fresh clean towels as well as shampoo and body wash.
Now, it can be quite noisy since there is a glass door on each room and they're not soundproof. Expecto to hear lots of traffic noises and a train throughout the day.
I would have given it an extra star but there was a huge problem with the other guests. When you arrive, you're told that after 11 pm, all common areas should remain in silence. You can be there reading or listening music with your headphones on or working on your laptop but that's it. Well, there were two people who stayed at the common area below my room, watching movies and series at a high volume, they were laughing and talking up to 4 am. I had to stay awake cause my gf is in Europe right now, so we were talking over the phone at that time, otherwise, I couldn't have slept.
Of course, I could have told them to keep the volume down, but you don't know who these people are and you don't know if they would key your car or simply, you'd end up arguing. This shouldn't happen since we all knew the rules, but there was no one from staff to talk to.
Please, stress enough the rules with all guests.
