Was taken here as a reliable but average place and it was exactly that. Food was in no way bad but it didn't excel like other restaurants. Price for the food was reasonable and service was good.

A very comfi place to relax and enjoy a glass of wine; Although I didn't get a bite to eat.
The staff is great and the prices are ok. I would definitely recommend the place to anyone.

My food (torta de pierna) was not so well cooked, the Tostada's de Pata that wife ordered were soo meaty and the overall price paid was expensive

This is a miss and hit place. It depends on several things for you to get a good or bad experience.
If you are in Queretaro, the most trustful Sanborns is located in Plaza del Parque, service is good and food is good overall.
Located on Virreyes, inside the Galerias Plaza, this is almost always the worst of them. Service is slow and food doesn’t taste good or the temperature is bad.
The Los Arquitos, this depends on how much crowded is the place. This time, on times of covid, the place wasn’t crowded and the waitress was fast. Food was good, my wife had Caldo Tlalpeño and I had Tortilla de Huevos. Portion was very good and spot on temp.
Overall is like a cafeteria place where you can enjoy some mexican food with options to something else.
Another bonus for Sanborns is that they always have a store for purchasing some other stuffs like: electronics, magazines, perfumes, cigarettes etc
Too bad that Virreyes one has always the worst service and food among the threes.
