The hotel is in a great location close to everything and is pretty. There is no air conditioning anywhere but your room so it is very hot walking around. The service is not great. Both times i stayed here it took an extremely long time to park my car and retrieve it. Like 25 minutes!! Totally unacceptable. Also the staff needs better trained because I asked multiple times when the breakfast was and was told 10am when it actually goes from 6 to 10 so i missed out on breakfast and was not happy. The manager did agree to buy me breakfast at a nearby restaurant so that was nice and I'll give service 3 stars now.I probably would not stay here again for these reasons though.

It is my third time at the Gran Hotel, and I both love it, and an not happy. The location and building are spectacular - right in the middle of old town and beautifully decorated. The amenities are not perfect - internet didn't work (but they fixed after a couple hours of complaints), one of the three times they checked me into an occupied room which was embarrassing, breakfast mediocre, and in general just never felt welcome or at home. So the location and physical asset are 5 stars all the way, but everything else about it a 3 star experience. Its not a "business" hotel, so if you are a business traveler, try something else, but for the tourist traveler who needs not the conveniences offered by "business" hotels, this is a decent choice and a good value..

We stayed there last week. The hotel in itself is nice and staff was friendly.
But we went through an attempt at a Scam or worse.
We Registered under my name with my roommate's phone number. The night of our arrival my roommate started getting calls and whatsApp messages from an unknown number with a profile picture of people in hoods and Ak-47. and they were asking for me on her number because that's the info we gave to the hotel. This is usually a scam to try to intimidate and ask for money. I was already aware of these types of scams but my roommate wasn't and was very frightened and did not enjoy our trip there at all. They try to extort guests and the only place to get that info is from the Hotel. We already filed a report, but just treat this as a warning to not fall for this and to contact officials or someone you trust in this situation. Hope This hotel tightens up their security.

Great old world charm and central location. I had the worst of the four possible views and still found myself people watching from the balcony frequently, if I had the zocalo view I might never have left my room ☺️. Large room, great washroom, more outlets than it first appeared. It may be COVID related but the breakfast was disappointing. Daniella (sp?p) at reception was incredibly helpful with arranging tours and such given my very limited Spanish.

Rooms are somewhat outdated but the service and location can't be beat!

Stayed 4 nights and every single night we had to go down to renew the card key because it doesn't let us in the room. The internet was very slow and it does not work a lot of the time. The room was not very clean and old outdated stuff. The hair dryer barely works. It was not worth the price.

A truly Grand Hotel in the middle of the city center. There is a grandeur atmosphere, with marble flooring and carpets. The rooms are spacious, but a bit dark. Beds are a bit small for people from Europe :). The room is a bit dated and require a bit of maintenance. Big downside is that the breakfast is not in the weekend. Breakfast itself was a bit disappointing. Not many options. It was okay, but borderline. Big benefit is that you are close to all the sights in Querétaro, and close to the restaurants. Will probably stay in another hotel next time.
