My wife and I kept trying to like this place, but ultimately found little reason to return. While nothing was particularly bad, and the presentation of the food was very nice, the service was heartless and the owner seemed totally indifferent as to our presence, even when I tried to engage him in conversation. (We were the only customers at the time.)
Fair enough. We came to eat and enjoy the experience, but the restaurant, even though it’s been around for over forty years, offers little in the way of decor. Sadly, several items on the menu were overly dry (the grilled chicken, the stuffed grape leaves and the cooked kibbe). The hummus and babaganoush were pretty good, but not amazing, and the cheese was very good, but ultimately, the experience fell flat and the food was simply not that great. We’ve had much better Lebanese, Turkish and middle Eastern food elsewhere in Latin America and in North America. Price was reasonable, though, and if we lived close enough we might return to give it another try. Not good enough to make a special trip, though.
