My Reef Chem Queretaro Experience:
1. Charged $2500 to repair a brand new Vortech wave maker delivered - still under warranty ????
2. Delivered Tunze wave maker but ordered and paid for Vortech which was $4,800 pesos more. He said it was his wife’s fault. Still waiting for my credit.
3. Doesn’t know how to install Reef Link ???? One Vortech STILL not connected. And the other Vortech still missing.
4. Delivered crabs one month late. Extremely small. They do nothing in my aquarium.
5. New Powder Brown Tang had ICH killing MOST other fish. Now the Powder Brown is also dead. No credit. No guarantee.
6. New goby u0026 new firetail delivered all died immediately. Zero guarantee. Delivered a baby Clownfish but it died in one day because other established clowns in the tank attacked it - Reef Chem doesn’t know that??
7. Screw installed protruding 2cm from cabinet ????
8. Doesn’t know how to set up doser ???? Still not working and as a result I must dose manually.
9. Delivered the WRONG Triton chemical and tried to convince me it’s ok !!!! Base Elements is NOT Other Methods.
10. Nano tank disaster and zero coral as was planned from the beginning. Transferred 2 of my anemones to nano which have since died.
11. Killed 5 damsels during transfer and replaced them with cheap Green Chromis, now mostly dead.
12. Did not set up heater correctly (without controller) and almost COOKED all my fish during transfer. I corrected the issue myself.
13. Cracked new skimmer lid during installation. No replacement.
14. Demanded full payment up front without delivering product ????
15. Installations a mess. Wires everywhere.
16. New Nano skimmer totally garbage. Charged $6000 pesos for it !!!! I replaced it myself with a proper HOB skimmer at my additional cost.
17. Most snails delivered died.
18. Cut aluminum debris all fell in tank water. No protective covers used.
19. Incorrect sock installation.
20. Salinity too high. Did not fix. Falsely claiming my ATO caused the problem ????
21. Installed rock touching side glass ????
22. Did not clean tank sufficiently during transfer ???? Gunk all over bottom of tank.
23. Charged $20,000 pesos for Radion Ecotech 30 LED ???? but could not even install it because he had no mounting hardware ???? He said he’d find the hardware but I have not heard from him. WAY overkill for nano tank to begin with.
24. Left his garbage on site after installs and never cleaned up after himself. Salt all over the floor, empty containers, bags, etc.
25. Posted MY pics of MY equipment in his Facebook page where he had ZERO contribution ???? No permissions from me to post my photo. Worse yet, he did not install my equipment that I paid him to do.
26. Charged to install Apex but said he didn’t have screws so he abandoned the job. Home Depot ?
27. Sold Hanna checkers but took NO measurements for dKh or PH or calcium ????
28. Installed heater and Vortech controllers on outside of tank stand ???? Should be inside.
29. Delivered baby blue tang $2,200 pesos and died. Guarantee ???? Why deliver a baby fish ????
30. Texted me to death - including 4 AM demanding for payment. He told me he would not come to my house until 100% payment was confirmed. Yes, they desperation for money, but little or no interest for providing good product or service to customers.
I will make a Police report.
If you value your fish tank, or your money, run away from Reef Chem.
