Nice big market, just goes on and on! Great fresh veges, herbs and spices. Lots of food stalls for tacos and other local dishes.

One of my favorite markets in the world. Sadly, please eat here with caution. The nearby river is an open sewer u0026 many reports of illness. Do shop for fruits, vegetables, handmade tortillas, candies, dried chiles, spices, coffee, chocolate. You can find beautiful candles, raw wool, little toys u0026 sweaters. Be sure to walk around the periphery of the market to see all the day vendors. Early morning is best, but this market is bustling all day.

Local market for almost everything. Most woman dress traditionally with a black hairy long skirt made of fur.

typicalMexican mercado but with a plus that fruit u0026 vegetable are "campo fresh" , u0026 cheaper than other touristic place i've been in mexico ,

The market sells lots of clothes, but if you wander a bit (and it's pretty big), there are many fruit and vegetable stalls, and lots of people selling chickens. There are also great deals to be had on tacos, tortas etc. The area around the market is also very much worth a wander.
