The best Burrito that I have had in Mexico so far! Everything was put together so beautifully both flavor-wise and visually. Loved it!!!

Oh man... This place deserves 5 stars for their food as well as their service. It is owned by two friends who studied gastronomy and their passion for cooking delicious food is clearly expressed in every meal I have so far tried.
They have mastered the ability to layer various complimentary flavors on top of each other to where no one flavor overrides the others, and you are left with a very nuanced dish with complex and rich flavors.
Out of all of the restaurants I have visited here(and I visited many), Isabel "Comedor Libre" would be THE place I would recommend for anyone to visit. You will not be disappointed. Frankly, you will likely become an Isabel evangelist like myself, excitedly telling people they must come here and taste whatever the menu of the day item is.
I've waited to accumulate enough of a variety of photos before leaving this review in order to showcase the capabilities of these two amazing chefs. Their attention to detail cannot be overstated and their prices for the quality of such food will be a surprise to anyone.
Whether you are here to stay or just visiting, this is one of the must go to restaurants in San Cristobal De Las Casas.
Buen Provecho!

Best Breakfast burrito I think I've ever had and for only 65 pesos including bread and a big cup of coffee you can't go wrong. Nice staff and quiet location away from the walking street...very much worth a visit in San Cristobal!

Isabel was a tip from a local friend. It is just out of the touristic center but the walk is worth it. The staff was really nice and the English was super. Besides of the fact that our burritos looked really nice, the taste was even better! Would definitely recommend!

This was my third time here in the past week so I figured it was time for a review. I’ve had the A.M. breakfast burrito twice u0026 the chilaquiles once.. both really great but the breakfast burrito is maybe one of the best I’ve ever had u0026 I can’t stop thinking about it.
The owner and folks that work here are so kind, which is really just the cherry on top. Definitely recommend stopping in!
