Don't know why they would try and market this place as a hostel, it seems very obvious they don't even want people there.
I worked there as a volunteer 3 days, trying to get people to come and stay, a few people went and looked.. Nobody stayed. Why? Because it's a hole. Despite working 4 hours a day for my 3 days she was convinced I wasn't doing my job and kicked me out.
Everything in the kitchen is dirty, I leaned on the wall and got sticky stuff all over my hand which took 10 minutes of straight scrubbing to get off, the mattress I slept on was old and stinky. The flyer I handed out claimed to have hot showers all day, but if you want a shower you have to turn on the boiler and wait half an hour. But chances are the owner will turn the boiler off before the water is hot because apparently the definition of hot to them is almost warm.
Not to mention, no toilet paper!! Which they don't even tell any of the guests so last minute when someone pinches one off they realise 'oh, no toilet paper. I guess I better walk to the shop and get some whilst covering my current underpants in sh|t'.
Many other little things that just contribute to it being so bad. The lock on the front gate and my bedroom near impossible to open, all the furniture crammed in to tight places so you can't even sit on it, way too many plants (don't get me wrong I love plants) which just closes off what could be an awesome open space and the kitchen is also just crammed into a tiny room, it has no ventilation or sink.
So much potential to be a good place, but completely ruined by a lack of care and zero understanding of the basic needs a hostel should provide.
I am happy to contribute to this low rating and hope no one makes the mistake of staying here place ever.
