Great experience! Tour de Chiapas organizes very interesting and complete itineraries, which also leave time to relax and enjoy the holiday. In particular, Cristian was a fantastic guide, nice, prepared, professional and with the right flexibility.

We really enjoyed our tour through Chiapas with Tu Aventura Maya! Both Oscar and Christian were very helpful at all times and made our trip smooth, safe and enjoyable with their suggestions and recommendations. We loved all of the sights, the Sumidero Canyon, San Cristobal and the communities, Agua Azul and Misol Ha, Palenque… our favorite was the visit to Yaxchilan, truly incredible!

If I could give Viajes Chiapas Tu Aventura Maya 6 out of 5 stars I would. The trip they arranged was astonishing. The stuff we saw in Chiapas changed our entire view of Mexico. From the great pine forests of the Chiapas highlands, to the magic of San Cristobal de las Casas, to the waterfalls and the lakes and the canyons, and the wonders of the Mayan ruins of Palenque and especially Yaxchilan.

But the trip was also amazing due to the thoughtfulness and punctuality of Oscar, the owner of the company, and especially our English speaking main guide (and Germany trained driver), Christian. Christian was patient at explaining the sometimes complicated nature of the Chiapas indigenous peoples and was more than happy to warmly answer our many questions. And he also went out of his way to make sure our trip was comfortable and showed us many things off the beaten path. Joyce was our guide at Palenque and Yaxchilan (along with Christian) and his knowledge of both sites brought these ancient places to life.

We were surprised to learn that Canadians rareley visit this amazing place. If you're considering it, I highly recommend this company and these great people to show you around. Keep in mind that English is not widely spoken, so an English guide is close to a must if you want to learn about the place.

The best travel agency in Mexico! Oscar, the owner, was very responsive, helpful and easy to communicate with. Our guide Christian Fleck (we were calling him Mr. Tapachula) was extraordinary! We've learnt so many things about local culture, nature and actual political situation in Chiapas which we would never learn without such a great local guide. His English is perfect what is quite rare for the Mexican reality. In addition, every time we travelled to some remote places (Yaxchilan, Palenque), we had other guides who were specialised in the local history and nature (especially Mr Pancho from Yaxchilan). Regarding hotels - all of them were very comfortable with good breakfast. We were travelling by car with Mr Tapachula and visiting various amazing spots, always having enough time to admire the nature and never being in a rush. What I loved about the trip were the hidden gems (not easily accesible, sometimes we had to even take a boat to reach the Mayan ruins) which the guide showed us. If you have doubts whether to visit CHAMULAS town (current Mayan town), do not hesitate! that was the wierdest cultural experience of my life! AND you must go there with a local guide otherwise you may breach some local customs / law and end up in a jail. To sum up, if you love adventures and at the same time want to feel safe, taken care of and learn so many facts and visit so many wierd and amazing places, this trip is for you!

Very attentive, always on time, Oscar was very responsive by phone and email. Great tour service! Cristian was a great guide and answered our questions along the way about the culture. He knows several of the locals which helped us get into places quickly and we received great attention at all of our activities.

Excellent organized, informative and fun tour of Chiapas. From start to end this company looked after all the details and left us with no worries to enjoy the fun adventure of getting to know Chiapas, it’s unique natural beauty, the cultures of a diverse people and experiencing hidden gems we would not have found on our own. Highly recommend our tour guide Christian. We thoroughly enjoyed his company over seven full days of skillful driving through miles of twisting mountain roads, intimate knowledge of the villages and archeological sites. A most memorable and pleasurable journey we shall always remember with great stories to be retold fondly.
