Great place combining hostel and hotel in a very good/new condition. Plenty of common areas for being a hostel and located in the center of Cholula.

I love Cholula but cannot say the same about this hostel. this is not a backpacker friendly. Very money driven hostel. They tried to charge an additional night for putting a stuffed monkey I previously won at the fair on one of the beds as a joke. Other members of the hostel enjoyed seeing the monkey tucked into the bed as a human.

I was forced to leave the hostel at 3 pm following my checkout or they would charge additional night. Apparently “someone” was watching the cameras and told staff to either charge or force me to leave. No hot water, which is extremely unusual for a $15 hostel in Mexico. Hostel was nearly empty while there and my my intuition says the low occupancy rates may be causing owners to put additional pressure to create profit some other streams.

This hostel has the location and facilities to be great, comfortable beds, clean, but it really fails at creating a comfortable environment for the traveler. I recommend an Airbnb in cholula or staying in Puebla and taking the bus.
