We truly enjoyed our dinner experience. Fixed price menu with courses selected by the chef was a hit with everyone at our table. Reasonably priced wines.

Bruce is probably the top chef in PV. The place is now called Ambrosia Grill . The menu has a wide range of appetisers, salads and main courses that will please any palate. Wife Julia makes the deserts and they are exceptional. It's a little out of the way but worth the trip. Tell Bruce papa sent you.

Bruce Byng's Teatro Limon restaurant is certainly not one you'll find by accident. But persevere, like our taxi driver did because it's well worth it! This was our 4th visit over a number of years. The team of Bruce, wife Julia, and YaYa, trusted hostess, create an experience unparalleled in other restaurants. There are no menus or chalkboards, only adroit questioning by Chef Bruce meeting the intrigues of the day to discover the perfect meal for each diner. I'd never been asked the question, "how do you like your ostrich cooked?" before, but now I know.....medium rare. And it doesn't taste like chicken! It's a very, very lean pink meat, and I forgot to ask what part of the bird.....certainly not the knees! Other enhancements to the meal included: cauliflower and Brie blue cheese soup with a dollop of yogurt and herbs.....scallop encrusted in black sesame seeds with plump shrimp with a passion fruit dressing.....wild local arugula with figs and balsamic, wonderfully bitter....and lemon torta with whipped cream, raspberry and chocolate. Complimented by a bottle of "Convertible" a lovely Mexican red and finished with a liqueur, 43, which I need to find in La Playa before we take off. Smooth! No roughness.....it's the kind of drink that young kids would love if they ever allow liqueurs for 5 year olds! Beautiful plating, sublime food, wonderful company. Everyone deserves a night out like this on vacation!

The restaurant cancelled my reservation an hour before arrival. Ruined my New Year’s Eve plans! So unprofessional. AVOID
