The credit card machine at the Puerto Vallarta airport Subway wasn’t working, and we were not told this until our sandwiches were already made. We didn’t have enough pesos to pay for the combos. My husband told them to not charge for combos, that way we could afford just the sandwiches. We handed the guy and gal working there the money, and they owed us change. They gave us a little of it and tried to get us to leave. We asked for remaining change. They gave just a little more but still not enough. We told them we wanted our full amount of change. They finally gave it, and the gal there got angry. She started mocking and yelling at us. Any time we tried to speak to her she said “no English, no English” in a very loud and sarcastic voice. She clearly knew English, as she had spoken it already. Very unprofessional, rude, disrespectful, and dishonest. Willing to steal our money. Clearly she does not like foreigners. Would recommend that nobody visit this restaurant. I don’t support businesses that hire employees that behave this way. Unfortunately these types of interactions with customers give Subway a bad reputation.
