Delicious variations of traditional mexican cuisine in a lovely, quaint garden-like atmosphere.. . We started with Hibiscus Mezcal Margarita and Fruit Margarita which were super tasty. For an appetizer we had the shrimp with peanut mole. The peanut mole had a nice depth without overwhelming peanut flavor or being too spicy. For entrees we had the Duck Carnitas with mixed veg.. pretty sure the potatoes were cooked in the duck fat as they were some of the best potatoes I've tasted in a long time. The duck was tender and paired with a cherry demi also very tasty. The stuffed poblano was good, but came with a crema that was a bit too sweet and served room temperature which was unexpected.. It probably said that on the menu but I failed to read.. my mistake.. For dessert we had the flan and tres leches cake... which was the best tres leches cake I've ever had. The flan was also delicious. The service Regina provided was excellent. She was knowledgeable, friendly, attentive and prompt without being obtrusive. The owner, however, was unwelcoming and pretty rude when greeting us and showing us to our table. I understand it's difficult to leave personal and other problems behind you while at work, but reprimanding an employee in front of customers is bad form as taught in business mgmt101. If you have a problem with your service staff you address it after their shift is over. If it needs immediate attention, do it out of the view of your guests. We will definitely be returning on our next trip to PV.
