We went to see the itinerant mummies museum of the encarnacion de Diaz municipality at the cultural centre. It was really interesting to see the mummies. The tour is free and is in Spanish but each mummy has a write up in English. I would recommend seeing this whilst it is still on display during day of the dead festivities. The staff were lovely and it was organised well. We were even handed free water but I suggest bringing your own. You will have to line up outside as they take small groups through slowly.
