Canova Hostel & Pizza

I originally booked 2 weeks but stayed for 3 weeks in total because I liked the hostel so much. It has a family atmosphere and everyone is so friendly and helpful. They recommended me so many nice places to go to in Vallarta and for my solo-trip around Mexico.

The stuff speeks good English and helps you with everything. I arrived in the night around 11pm and they were still awake to check me in.

The room (mixed dorm) is very clean and the beds are comfortable. You can choose a (way more silent) dorm which is not close to the big street. I slept like a baby.

You can buy breakfast which is prepared by a lovely Mexican lady and btw so delicious! I highly recommend going to the Pizza restaurant two blocks away which they own as well!!

The pricing is perfect for what you get.

I am definitely coming back next time I visit Mexico.

Would not recommend!!! The owner of the hostel sneaked in my room at night and I woke up because he was sitting next to my bed touching my butt. I can’t believe it! Worst hostel experience I’ve ever had!!!!!
The hostel is dirty, the kitchen is super tiny (if you can even consider it a kitchen). The bathrooms smell bad. But hey it’s kinda cheap. That’s the only good point.

The staff doesn't speak English. The rooms were dirty. Check in took like over 20 minutes. You will inhale piles of dust everywhere. Cleanliness (1/10)

I stayed in a private room but I didn't like that the street is very noisy with the bus stop right in front.
The hostel has a smart lighting system, but every time someone went to the bathroom or walked down the hall at night I was woken up by the light hitting my face.
In my opinion the dishes are expensive for the type of place, for the same amount you can have breakfast in the market and you walk around.

Me pareció un buen lugar para un par de días y poco presupuesto.
Me quedé en una habitación privada pero no me gustó que la calle es muy ruidosa con la parada del bus justo enfrente.
El hostal tiene un sistema de luz inteligente, pero cada vez que alguien pasaba al baño o caminaba por el pasillo por las noches me despertaba el golpe de luz en la cara.
En mi opinión los platillos son caros para el tipo de lugar, por la misma cantidad puedes desayunar en el mercado y te paseas por ahí.
