This was great and fun trip! We loved it and enjoyed it! Strongly recommend doing this as an excursion if you are in Mexico! Our tour guide was great and the water felt amazing! We also seen a few monkeys on our way in and out!! My wife and I enjoyed it his a lot was educational and a great thing to see and do in person!

We paid $80 USD for two people. Our guide was Oto and our tour was 2 hours. The water is cool and crystal clear. We saw catfish and bats, and even monkeys as we walked between cenotes. It wasn't really an underground river, more of a regular cenote, but beautiful nonetheless. We learned a lot about the local beliefs and ecosystem and had a wonderful time exploring.

One of the top vacation experiences of my life and I've had many. I wish I had more time in the caves. Abel our tour guide was awesome and went out of his way to accommodate us. We called ahead of time and let them know we wouldn't arrive until 1 hour after they closed and he still waited for us. He is very knowledgeable about the cenote and used humor here and there to keep us entertained. Even though we were well past closing he gave us the VIP treatment and never rushed us out. The one hour and 40 minute tour went by in a blink. Not only was he our guide but our personal photographer...he took amazing pictures of us and the cenote as we were swimming in the water. What can i say about the cenote...amazingly breath taking...look at the pictures of the caves, it speaks volumes. Don't think about it, just do it, I promise, you won't regret it.

Just an absolutely amazing and awe inspiring adventure!! Located in Playa del Carmen Mexico the Chaak Tun cenote( suh-no-tay ) was one of the coolest things I've done. Our guide Otoniel really explained all about the cenotes and their cultural significance to the Mexican people. How each one is owned privately by the people and not the government, how to safely explore them without hurting yourself or disturbing them, and finally their spiritual impact. A definite must see whether you come to them by cruise ship as we did or some other way, I whole heartedly recommend this excursion!

This was such a special trip! Our resort got us set up with Chaak Tun and it was such an incredible experience. They clearly knew who to choose for us! This was a fairly large group of my closest friends and we ALL were incredibly impressed by the ENTIRE excursion. Abel gave us the tour of the Cenotes and he was bursting with knowledge and excitement to share and experience this with us. He had our large group under his wing so perfectly. For $40 pp (American currency) it is beyond worth every single penny. The Cenotes environment and water are so pure of earth that we all walked out feeling lighter, cleansed and overall completely purified. It was quite an amazing 3 hours! A huge THANK YOU to Abel for such a great time and sharing your knowledge, patience, and time with us!! Ask for him and you can’t be disappointed. Chaak Tun, you’ve got a special place in my heart!
