*edited to add we’ve eaten here 3 times in the last week ???????????????? the Chile rellenos are ridiculously good, as well as the mole enchiladas. We’ll be back for more still!

The best meal we’ve eaten after 4 weeks in Oaxaca. Everything we ordered was ah.may.zing! We had the sopa de fideo, meat empanadas, garnachas, mole negro and elote empanadas. The mole was out of this world. We were starting to feel disappointed with the Oaxacan food but this redeemed it for us. We’re coming back this week again because I already can’t stop thinking about that mole ????????

They were able to make vegetarian dishes for all of us. We just asked them to pick a few things and ended up with a personal tasting menu. Great experience.

As others have described, an unassuming little restaurant with an incredibly flavorful and authentic taste of Oaxaca. The owners and staff are friendly, attentive and ensure that the guest is well taken care of. A gem for locals; a "must visit" for visitors.

Happened into this place on first night in Oaxaca near where we are staying. It was wonderful. We had Garanches as appetizer, mole tamales and Chile relleno, all very unique. Service was excellent. Only here for a few days but we are going back!

I cannot recommend this place enough! Some of the best food I’ve eaten in Mexico.

Late last year I was taken to this restaurant by a friend who knows both Oaxaca and food. The restaurant is in an unassuming location and looks a bit like a garage. But the food, the food is unbelievably good. I spent a month in Mexico and ate in some very fine restaurants, including in Polanco, the upmarket neighbourhood in Mexico City, and a couple of Oaxaca top rated places, but Restaurante Yu Ne Nisa was the best meal I ate in Mexico. The various varieties of mole sauce are themselves worth the visit. We had more than enough wonderful food, beer and Mescal, and the total bill was less than $50.

Do yourself a favour and visit this place. If you like fine authentic Oaxacan food, this is the place to go. I am thinking about another trip to Mexico soon and will certainly make ain't of eating here again.
