The best hostel in Oaxaca!
Great location! Great environment, great people who are welcoming you as the volunteers who works there (especially the ginger dude from Texas, I forgot his name) also easy to talk with the guests and get along.
The dorms are nice, I felt like I have privacy because of curtains, there are lockers in the room, the bed was comfortable, nice chilling area (one hammock) they also have rooftop with a bar, activities, happy hours and also a tiny outside area as well.
The bathrooms and showers are great with hot water and the price to stay at the hostel is decent! Little more then 10$)
Ahhh on top of all of that- it’s including great breakfast!!!!!

Very cool and social hostel!
The staff, especially Andrea and Lucas, is working hard to make sure you have the best experience possible.
Would definitely recommend staying at Iguanas, especially for this price - make sure you book directly with the front desk.

Really liked the vibe at this hostel! The breakfast is great, the beds are comfortable and it’s a great price. The bar is really good and reasonably priced and they have themes on each day. The cooking class was fun :)

Great location. Drawback literally boiling at night ..1 rickety fan not working doesnt give ventilation.. lights were turned off at 11 pm but people still woke everyone up every single night at around 2.00 onwards so no sleep at all. Staff were ok but seemed like a big thing if you asked anything. My bed area had not been cleaned as there were sticky sweets on floor rhat stuck to some of my things so saying yes vibe was chill on terrace bar and fruit salad etc for breakfast. Wifi was out for half of the time wh8ch wasted my time waiting on it to book trips or get info.

Nice Atmosphere, friendly staff. The 10 bed dorm gets quiet warm in the top part at night, not too bad for me but could get problematic for people who are a bit more sensitive.

The hostal is located perfectly near the centre of oaxaca.

The rooftop bar closes at 11pm, the people go down then and make noise, after that you can get a good nights sleep :)

Theres a seperated coworking space on the roof, the community space in the hostel offers a lot of light and possibilities to relax and socialize.

The kitchen is perfectly equipped, a big warm breakfast with lots of fruit gets served every day.

Im staying there for 1 week, paying 210mxn per night in cash.

Theres always somebody there who's up for talking or making a daytrip :)

Great hostel, amazing rooftop with activities most nights. The staff were super friendly and the vibe was very social. Breakfast is tasty and changes each day and they also have a hostel WhatsApp group which is great for organising trips and things to do even when you're not at the hostel - definitely one of the best hostels I've stayed at.

Best hostel I have ever stayed in - a no brainier if coming to Oaxaca. Awesome price, location, staff and facilities. Don’t have a bad word to say.
