Dated but clean with helpful staff.
Tours can be booked in the lobby.
Walking distance to many areas.
Not lots of Gringos in this area ...thats why I get the vibe of Oaxaca...great street food also.
Safe place.

Hotel Riviera del Ángel is a large, fancy and largely hidden hotel with plenty of parking within the fort. From the outside, it seems relatively contemporary as a structure, though, if I remember correctly, there's a giant satellite dish on the roof, suggesting that the Rivera del Ángel has or once provided satellite TV to guests. Of course, that satellite dish could belong to one of the many surrounding businesses.

Great Hotel. Decent Rooms. furniture was a bit old. But good location and decent rates.

Very happy with their manicure and pedicure services. Have been their client for a couple of years. Look for special offers on different days.

You can find a bus to monte alban there. Round trip was 80 pesos.
