The mercado is so full of incredible options, Comedor María Alejandra is no exception. I had the quesadilla con flor de calabazas and the chocolate de agua. To be honest the quesadilla was okay, after eating food prepared over coals or on a clay comal, it's hard to go back and in this case the quesadilla is prepared on an iron grill. But the hot chocolate is extremely good and certainly one of the best I've had thus far (and I've had alot!). In fact, I'd give the chocolate de agua five stars and would come back just for that!

Delicious hot cocoa (water-based) with the typical Oaxacan bread. Visited this spot inside the Mercado as part of a tour. Everything on the menu looked very tasty and prices were great. Clean venue.

Best and most authentic food in Oaxaca, go to the Market 20 Noviembre and sit down with Maria and eat well! Great atmosphere in the market - super good value too

excellent, i enjoyed tlayuda with grasshopper, very good and interesting, staff very nice
