Amazing boutique hotel in the heart of Oaxaca. Perfect location and within a five minute walk is everything. The staff is super friendly and speak perfect English. The cleanliness and service is top-notch. Definitely one of the hotel highlights in Mexico. I will definitely go back. Especially if I’m with a large family. The room we had was a suite, with two rooms and two queen beds in each.

I cannot recommend Casa de La Asunción highly enough! Perfect location, gorgeous, new and spacious rooms. The manager, Violeta was a pleasure - she made sure everything was 100%. Plus, above-and-beyond thoughtful details such as local coffee, snacks, fresh flowers in the room! I wouldn’t stay anywhere else on my next trip to Oaxaca.

Casa de La Asuncion is located central to everything in Oaxaca City - you can walk to the various mercados and all the restaurants are within reach. Violeta was a great help with logistics (airport transfers) and local recommendations; Flavia made sure our room was immaculate and we had everything we needed.

It is in the downtown area, so there is lots of traffic (people u0026 cars) and activity. The city’s pretty small, so I don’t know that there’s anywhere that would be “quiet” unless you get out of the city.
