This is a 4 - 4.5 star restaurant. Sadly, I have to give it only 3 stars. Why, you may ask? Well, simply because the Chef/owner refuses to serve the signature Italian, and for that matter, European aperitif of excellence: Campari.
Being European, Swiss, Italo-Spanish, and French in origin, my wife and I were simply flabagastered about his attitude. According to some witnesses, he often proclaims:
“ I don’t like Campari, therefore; I will not serve it. I’m the Chef/owner, and that is it!
I inquired with the servers if we could bring our OWN BOTTLE OF CAMPARI, next time we come to the Trattoria No. 2 Herradura, if we ever come back, and they all kindly said: “please do. We can even keep your bottle here for you at the bar. It’s simply outrageous.
In case you like to have a Campari as an appéritif or a Tiramisu for dessert; this is not the place for you. Simply, abstain. Shake because the food and service are good
