Modern saloon bar with a good kitchen. You won't find kids, women or families on the restaurant, just "dudes" having a good time with friends drinking and talking about men stuff, super noisy. The entry door is the perfect giveaway. Good micheladas and the ribs were great!!

Indio Azteca was established in 1920.
In Monterrey there are 2 options, one in downtown and another one in Sao Pedro.
Typical food here is Mexican Food like Sopa de Tortilla, Tacos, Botanas, Chicharron, Guacamole, Frijoles, Costilla and local desserts.
Huge variety of local beers.
Prices are fair.
Is indicated for businesses lunch and networking.
Is only for man.
Is like to be in the beginnings of XX century...

This place does not allow female customers. I can't believe a restaurant like this exists today. This is not okay no matter what argument you are making about tradition. Can't believe how it got 4.5 stars on google.

Classic!!! Old style cantina, you get served small dishes while you drink for free, great baebacoa de arrachera

One of the best experiences I’ve had in the city of Monterrey. Great service, great food and drinks. I’ll be visiting this establishment every time I go to Monterrey from now on. Thank you guys!

One of the only place in Monterrey women are not allow as the place wants to keep its old tradition of being an just man cantina. This place is great to hang out with friends, great variety of drinks and awesome food. You gotta get early as it fills up real quick

Very relaxed atmosphere. Good selection of food and drinks. Gets pretty crowded so plan ahead and arrive early or place a reservation. For guys only, I didn't see a ladies' bathroom.
