We arrived in Monterrey on our motorcycle in a torrential downpour. We had never been to the city and were unprepared for the size of it. We were lost, drenched and ready to give up when a very kind motorist escorted us to the Comfort Inn Norte. What a wonderful surprise. Although we had some difficulty in communicating with the staff at the front desk as our Spanish is very limited, they were very helpful and got us checked in. There was one man who appeared to be the evening manager who did speak English very well, and offered whatever we needed to make our stay as comfortable as possible. We got ourselves dried out and had a lovely meal in the hotel restaurant. The room was large, the bed was comfortable and the service was great. In the morning, after we checked out, the manager Orlando Villarreal, escorted us out of the city so we wouldn't get lost again. Extremely kind and helpful.

It was a fair price and looked nice from the out side but, when you enter the rooms you can see a drop in quality. The heat in the room was consistent and the ac unit did little to help. It was to the point that I would sweat in the room even if the ac was set at a low temp.

This hotel was very convenient because it not only gave me a great price but also top of the line treatment

I stayed there for a week and a half and I had a nice stay, staff were patient with me since my spanish was terrible, they were nice and polite. The restaurant serves excellent and cheap food, i've eaten there every day of my stay
Rooms are beautiful and clean, the beds are huge and very comfortable

And I found the list of TV channels sorted out by type very useful!

Would easily recommend it to anyone staying in Monterrey

Average is probably the most adequate word to define the hotel. When I called choice hotels, I ask for a place close to the Monterrey area airport, and this hotel was about 15 miles away. They were other hotels in a 2 miles radius. My experience was a quick one, but the air condition machine was a bit noisy, and I needed to sleep. No food or cafe was available. The wi-fi was fine, and the building is brand new. Regular stay

Considering it's location, it seems out of place. You wouldn't expect to see it where it is. At first glance it looks like any other hotel. Then you enter the lobby! After checking in the court yards on the way to the room make you feel as though you're really somewhere other than where you are! The gated entrance makes you feel safe and secure and the guards were constantly making rounds. The only downside, and this is something the staff is aware of and working on) is they really need more bilingual personnel. However, as stated in other comments they are eager to understand and help.
