It’s a hidden gem in Mexico City. I came across this restaurant in passing while browsing for restaurants on Google maps. The staff was very courteous, they explained all the items on the menu. There are several vegetarian dishes and they have an option for a vegan 3 course menu as well. Food was exquisite in taste as well as beautifully presented. Every mouthful was bursting with flavors. We also got to know that all the staff at the restaurant are students and the restaurant is in fact a culinary school. It is a quick walk from the zocalo. Would highly recommend checking this place out when in Mexico City.

We ordered the vegetarian fried quesadilla, non alcoholic Bloody Mary and pina colada, Milpa soup and the Chile relleno. They also served us an amuse-bouche , complimentary bread with almond butter, and a chocolate in addition to our á la carte meal.

The price is extremely reasonable for the amazing food that is served here.

Everytime I am in Mexico City, I visit Zefiro. The food is always exciting but never pretentious. Staffed by students, the restaurant makes you feel like you are being helpful while at the same time enjoying a fine meal in a semi casual atmosphere.

One of the finest meals you will find in CDMX. Five stars is not enough.

More than a restaurant, this is an experience in culinary and service excellence. The whole concept is pretty brilliant. It is a “working classroom” the the culinary and restaurant industry mastery. Houses in a beautiful colonial building a block from the Claustro. With outdoor dining and inside a full view of their impeccably clean kitchen. The food and the service was A+ in every way. Each dish is explained by the attentive servers. When I was there the choices if bread were csrmelized onions with rosemary or black bread made from cacao served with butter that had a hint if sage. Followed then with the complimentary appetizer (sorry, no photo and unsure of ingredients but delicious), then a Oaxacan tamale. Main course was deboned beef ribs, steamed and stuffed with seasonal vegetables and topped with a peanut sauce that was delightful. Different layers of flavors. I didn’t think I had room for desert but it was worth trying. An upgraded fudge lava cake with a perfect creamy fudge oozing out, served with vanilla ice cream and an edible rice paper quote by Sor Juana. The “agua fresca” that day was Tangerine/passion fruit. Wait, they may have had others but that’s what I requested and it was great. Highly recommended

This restaurant is a hidden gem. The food was delicious and the service was impeccable. Eduardo Ramos, who took care of our table, was professional and attentive to details. He explained what each dish consisted of and was patient answering my questions given my basic Spanish. He was kind and gave us amazing recommendations for cocktails and food. I recommend this restaurant for both quality, price and service and thank you Eduardo :)
